ABOUT

About our project

Building a society where each individual can demonstrate his or her “power

Neurodiversity is a concept that stems from the diversity of our brains and nerves, and this applies to all of us.

Because of these individual characteristics, one may feel “difficulty in living. However, this “difficulty in living” is not caused solely by individual characteristics. It is caused by the interaction of individual characteristics and the physical and social environment.

By respecting individual characteristics and creating an appropriate environment, we can eliminate “difficulties in life” and turn individual characteristics into “strengths.

Our goal is to build a society in which individuals can live comfortably and demonstrate their “power” in their own way by supplementing and extending their brain functions and bodies with technology and redesigning their physical space, social systems, customs, and other environments from a D&I perspective.

The spread of neurodiversity can bring out new creativity in all people and lead to the development of society as a whole.

ACTION

Activity

Three approaches are being promoted as activities of the Neurodiversity Project.

Understanding

The diversity of the brain creates different ways of seeing and feeling for each of us. It encourages us to understand each other's different perspectives and to respect diverse ways of perceiving the world. It provides new ideas and perspectives, enriches the world, and is a source of innovation.

Technological development

From ancient tools such as eyeglasses to the latest brain wave analysis technology, a variety of tools complement and extend the “power” that each of us possesses. As technology and the body merge and continue to evolve together with technology, our possibilities will expand to infinity. We are committed to developing technologies that expand our individuality and encourage each of us to demonstrate our “power”.

Environmental improvement

Our daily lives are influenced by the physical environment, social systems, rules and customs, and human relationships. By reconsidering and redesigning whether the current environment that is taken for granted is appropriate for all people, we aim to build a society in which people can easily demonstrate their “power” by eliminating the difficulties of living.
